The Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport (REP) is the largest airport for both domestic and international flights in the Kingdom of Cambodia handling close to two million passengers every year. Located only two miles from the famous Cambodian temple area of Angkor Wat, the ride into the downtown city area takes about 30 minutes. A number of airlines operate regular flights to and from the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport (REP) and these include Cambodia Angkor Air, Korean Air, SilkAir, Vietnam Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Asiana Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines. Very inexpensive taxis are located outside the arrivals hall and bus service are another option for budget travelers. There are local car rental companies and many of the hotels can arrange private airport transfer to the city if pre-booked. Within the airport there are some good services such as basic food stores, shopping including a duty free outlet, ATM's, and an internet cafe. Remember to allow for the US$25 departure tax when you leave the Kingdom of Cambodia. The closest accommodation to the airport is the Royal Angkor Resort.
