Cheap flights to Baltimore (BWI) can be found with many airlines, including Southwest, U.S. Airways, United, Northwest, Delta, Continental and American. Moreover, Baltimore (BWI) handles international flights for destinations ranging from Toronto to Cancun to London.
There are technically five concourses labeled A to E, although A and B really were merged into one large concourse during the 2005 renovation. Baltimore (BWI) has great amenities, including many restaurants, bars, duty-free shops, ATMs and money changers.
Travelers praise Baltimore (BWI) for its convenient location, being a short drive from both downtown Baltimore and the outskirts of D.C. Half a dozen rental car chains have branches in the airport.
Be aware, however, that the airport’s shuttle service taking travelers to a single parking lot seems disorganized and can be time-consuming. The bus is also crowded and slow.
Many downtown hotels provide their own shuttles to and from the airport, so you should inquire about that when making your reservation.
There is a Supershuttle that costs about $10 one-way and brings you to the central hotel area downtown. Another option is the light rail that connects to the city of Baltimore in about 35 minutes. | | | |  | | |
