Bamako Cheap Flights - BKO

Bamako, the capital of the large western African nation of Mali, is served by the Bamako Senou International Airport (BKO) which is located around 15 kilometers south of the city center.
Originally opened in 1974, the airport now has direct flights to and from many African and European cities. Flights to Bamako-Senou International Airport (BKO) originate in African cities including Dakar, Tripoli, Conakry, Algiers, Johannesburg, Casablanca, Nairobi, and Addis Ababa. There are also direct flights between Bamako and Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Marseille. Airlines serving the airport include major African carriers Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Royal Air Maroc and Tunisair. Air France, Air Méditerranée and budget carrier Aigle Azur offer flights to Bamako-Senou International Airport (BKO) from Paris. Air Mali also has domestic services to Timbuktu, Kayes, Sikasso, Kidal, Gao and Mopti.
International car rental agencies Avis and Hertz both have counters at the airport. Other options for ground transfers include the free express bus service to downtown which runs three times a day, private vans, and taxis which wait in front of the terminal building.
There is a small selection of retail and f&b outlets at the airport.
International visitors should bear in mind that a departure tax is levied on all passengers flying out of Bamako-Senou International Airport (BKO).
