Canberra Cheap Flights - CBR

Canberra Airport (CBR) handles only domestic flights within Australia, the majority of which are from the southeastern part of the country. More than 2.5 million passengers go through it each year.

The airport is located at the intersection of Canberra’s two major roads: Parkes Way/Pialligo Avenue and Eastern Ring Road (Monaro Highway/Majura Road). It is a 10-minute drive from the city center, and less than 15 minutes from Gungahlin and Queanbeyan.

The passenger terminal and general aviation facility are on the western side of the main runway. The airport features a bar, two cafes, a newspaper and magazine store, and a foreign exchange counter. Ground Floor Café and Hudsons Coffee offer hot and cold drinks in the central terminal area near the rental car providers. The multi-award winning Brindabella Business Park, which is one of Australia’s greenest business centers, is adjacent to the passenger terminal.

Canberra Cabs and partner taxi companies can be found outside the terminal, while the booths of car rental companies are in the central terminal area. Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Thrifty offer their services inside the airport.

Direct flights to Canberra Airport (CBR) come from Darwin, Townsville, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Albury, Melbourne and Hobart. Brindabella Airlines, Qantas, Tiger Airways and Virgin Blue have regular flights to-and-from Canberra.
