For passengers arriving from overseas, planes will disembark at Terminal 2, the international terminal which is almost 10 kilometers away from domestic Terminal 1. If you need to get from one terminal to the other, there is a free shuttle bus that travels frequently enough.

Many carriers fly into and out of Indira Gandhi International, including Air France, Gulf Air, KLM, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, Qantas and Thai Airways. Among the US-based carriers that use this facility, American Airlines handles the most Delhi flights.

Once you have collected your baggage and are ready to head into town, the international arrivals area has you covered for most of your needs. In addition to numerous money exchange facilities that are open all day, this part of the airport has a train-booking counter and a taxi station where you can prepay for your trip into Delhi.

Aside from trains and taxis, a number of buses run regularly between the airport and the city center. They arrive and depart on the lower level, not far from the taxi area.
