 | | Reach Florida through Fort Myers Airport | | | Fort Myers’ airport has one main terminal with three concourses. Food, shopping, and entertainment amenities include cafes, a spa, souvenir shops, convenience stores, restaurants, and bookstores.
The best way to get around Fort Myers and the surrounding area is by car. All the major car rental agencies are represented either at the airport or nearby. Be aware that the Sanibel Causeway has a toll, as does the Midpoint and Cape Coral Parkway’s Colonial Bridge. This bridge is unavoidable unless you go through Downtown Fort Myers and take U.S. 41 around it.
LeeTran provides bus service from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to Daniels Parkway and U.S. 41. From there, riders can connect to the rest of the LeeTran routes.
Taxis are also available. Rates are determined by zones, not meters, and regulated by the Port Authority. Check online for current rates. Airport shuttle and limousine services are available by reservation.
Most of the local hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport. There are ample accommodation options to choose from, including budget hotels, boutique hotels, and luxury hotels.
Most major U.S. airlines, such as American, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Midwest, Northwest, Southwest, United, and US Airways, use the airport. International airlines include Air Berlin, Air Canada, Spirit Airlines, Sunwing, and WestJet.
