Noi Bai International Airport handles about eight million travelers a year, but due to safety regulations involving the closeness of the two runways at the airport, the airport is only permitted to handle 10 million passengers a year. Lobby A houses Dragonair, China Airlines, EVA Air, Hainan Airlines, Korean Air, Hong Kong Airlines, Lao Airlines, Uni Air, Shanghai Airlines, and PMTair. Flights from Lobby A head to Hong Kong, Busan, Seoul, Siem Reap, and Kaosiung.

Lobby B is home to Aeroflot, AirAsia, Air France, Thai AirAsia, Tiger Airways, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Japan Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and Asiana Airlines. Flights arrive at Lobby B from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Moscow, Bejing, and Bangkok.

Lobby C is the exclusive home of Vietnam Airlines, who operates flights to Busan, Bangkok, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Moscow, Paris, Seoul, and Sydney. Lobby D is only for domestic flights, operated by Indochina Airlines, Jetstar Pacific Airlines, and Vietnam Airlines. Most of the flights from Lobby D head towards Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Da Lat, and Nha Trang.
