‘Brave’ Indiana:

Flying into Indianapolis International Airport

Indianapolis International Airport is a hub for budget airline AirTran, as well as a hub for FedEx Express. A number of different domestic carriers offer daily non-stop flights from Indianapolis International Airport, including Continental, Delta, Air Canada, American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Midwest Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.

Most of the budget and low-cost airlines fly out of Concourse B, while Concourse A is mostly for Delta and Continental, as well as their smaller regional connection flights offered by smaller companies. Indianapolis International Airport holds the distinction of being the first airport in the United States to construct a passenger terminal after September 11, and the state-of-the-art and contemporary new Colonel H. Weir Cook Terminal is as efficient as it is modern.

Getting from Indianapolis International Airport to Indianapolis is a breeze, with a number of different options. A Green Line Downtown/Airport Express service is in effect daily from five in the morning until nine at night, with the shuttle arriving every 15 minutes. Hailing a taxi is also easy, with numerous cab stands located outside of the baggage claim area.
