Inverness Airport (INV) acts as the main air gateway to the North of Scotland, with more than half a million passengers traveling through its terminal each year. It is the first airport in the UK to achieve Hospitality Assured accreditation from the Hotel and Catering International Management Association in 2002. The airport is about eight miles east of the City of Inverness, which is one UK’s growing center for business and leisure.

With the passengers’ comfort and convenience in mind, Inverness Airport (INV) features several basic facilities such as catering and retail outlets, an executive lounge, an ATM machine, TVs, Internet and mail access, wireless broadband, baby changing facilities, and a chapel. There is also a non-smoking policy throughout the terminal.

Two major car rental companies operate inside Inverness Airport (INV) – Avis and Hertz, while Highland Taxis operates the terminal concession. Taxis are also available in front of the terminal building. There are regular bus trips from the airport to the City of Inverness, Nairn, Elgin and Forres. Stagecoach in Inverness Route 11 runs every 30 minutes to the city center, while Stagecoach in Inverness Route 29X runs every hour to Nairn.

There are regular flights to Inverness Airport (INV) from Stornoway and Sumburgh/Kirkwall.
