Jaipur Cheap Flights - JAI

Jaipur airport (JAI) is the only International airport in the Rajasthan state of India handling about 1,000,000 passengers a year.
All of the main Indian airlines and a couple of Middle Eastern airlines use the airport to transport passengers across the sub continent and beyond. There are two terminals, one exclusively for domestic traffic and the other handling both International and domestic flights.
A new terminal building was opened in 2009 and this provides good facilities for all travellers although it can only comfortably handle about 500 passengers an hour, so on occasions the queues can be quite long.
Jaipur airport (JAI) offers a duty free shop, a book stall, a handicraft emporium, a tea and coffee counter, a post office as well as a tourist information center, a small business center, a foreign exchange counter and an infants room. There is something to occupy most people whilst they wait to board their plane
Jaipur airport (JAI) is only 13kms from Jaipur and the only way to travel downtown is by taxi. (There are no buses or trains). It is advisable to prepay for a taxi at a booth in the terminal building. Journey times vary enormously as the roads in India can get very busy.
