A hub for Midwest Airlines, Kansas City International also sees a great deal of traffic from Southwest Airlines. After an extensive expansion project that updated most of the terminals, the airport is ready to handle even more.

Kansas City International has three terminals in the shape of rings, with short-term parking available at each. The purpose of this structural move was to allow passengers to park closer to the airport by eliminating the need to commute from the long-term parking lot. This plan has paid off, with passengers praising the ease by which they can make their flights.

A number of different airlines fly to Kansas City International Airport. Terminal A handles flights from Air Canada, AirTran, United Express, United Airlines, Midwest, Great Lakes Airlines, US Airways and US Airways Express. The terminal has international flights to Toronto.

Terminal B takes care of most flights for Delta and the various Delta Connection routes, including to New York's JFK Airport, Atlanta, Detroit, Memphis, Baltimore and Los Angeles. Terminal C houses Frontier Airlines, Continental and Continental Express, American Airlines, and American Eagle.
