Kazan Cheap Flights - KZN

Tatarstan, Russia is home to the Kazan International Airport (KZN) and carries medium sized passenger planes in and out of the country. Located only twenty-five kilometers southeast of the larger city of Kazan, the airport provides an easy transit hub.

It has one terminal that can hold up to twenty aircraft at a time, and a new 3500 meter concrete runway has recently been built. Although the main terminal looks a bit aged, there has been a brand new business class terminal added on. Traffic at Kazan International Airport (KZN) is rather slow, allowing for quick movement through customs and security check-points.

It may not be the biggest International airport, but Kazan certainly offers quite a few routes in and out of Russia, including destinations such as Istanbul and Frankfurt. There are also quite a few regional flights offering services to Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, and Kaliningrad. The main international carriers are Turkish Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, and Lufthansa, but Tatarstan, a cheaper local company, offers cheap domestic and international options.

Taxis often wait outside and tend to ask large sums for transport to the city. Booking transport in advance from your hotel could be an easier option, although there is a reliable bus running every hour from the airport to the main Kazan bus terminal. As renovations to add terminals and a rail system are underway, flights to Kazan International Airport (KZN) will soon offer even more onward travel options.
