Key West International Airport is split into two terminals: the older terminal opened in 1957 and handles arrivals, while the newer terminal opened in 2009 and handles departures. The second terminal building more than doubled the size of the airport and includes parking spaces for 300 vehicles at ground level, with 150 spaces for rental cars and 150 spaces reserved for the public. Car rental agencies are not located on site at the Key West International Airport. Instead, you must call a shuttle bus and wait for 12 minutes to catch a ride to the offices on Truman Avenue.

Shuttle services are available through Greyhound Lines and Keys Shuttle to various locations in Florida after you arrive at Key West International Airport. Of course taxicab services are also available outside of the terminal buildings to take you to places of interest throughout the area. As a smaller airport, passengers flying into Key West will find a simple, easy and straightforward set up to make their stay in the airport as comfortable as possible.
