Flying into Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport – a Big, Bustling and Bright Airport

The airport is modern and busy and is the hub for Air Canada and a couple of smaller domestic airlines. There are three concourses – concourse B services all non-Canadian and US flights; concourse A handles domestic flights and Concourse C, US flights. Shoppers and diners are well looked after at the airport. There are plenty of restaurants spread throughout the public and flight side areas of both the international and domestic concourses and the airport’s shopping options include the biggest duty-free shop in Canada.

Montreal Airport is served by three bus routes which link to the major bus and train stations in Montreal. A number of shuttle bus services also operate between the airport and downtown, as well as to the main train station (Dorval) in the city. Shuttle services leave from outside the international arrivals terminal and some of them operate 24 hours a day.

Taxis are also readily available near the arrival terminal’s central exit. Taxis are regulated and a dispatch system operates from here, which will help arrivals getting a cab into the city. Fares to downtown Montreal are set but other destinations will be charged according to the meter. Car rental agencies can be found on the ground level of the multi-level parking building. For visitors who need to stay close by the airport, it is served by the Marriott Airport Hotel.
