Flights to Pattaya Airports (PYX)

Three airports serve the resort city of Pattaya: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Don Mueang Airport (DMK) and U-Tapao International Airport (UTP).

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is also known as the “New” Bangkok International Airport. As one of the busiest airports in Asia, it can handle up to 45 million passengers each year and 76 flights per hour. It has been the recipient of several industry awards, including those from Skytrax and Airports Council International.

Know as the “Old” Bangkok International Airport, Don Mueang Airport (DMK) used to be the main airport servicing Thailand’s two special administrative areas: Bangkok and Pattaya. It was closed in 2006 following the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) but was reopened a year later to serve domestic flights. Two low-cost airlines are currently using the airport: Nok Air and One-Two-Go Airlines.

U-Tapao International Airport (UTP) is also called Pattaya Airport. This little known airfield has direct flights from Koh Samui, Phuket, Siem Riep, Moscow and Incheon. Seasonal charter flights from several Eastern European countries are also available.

Pattaya is 75 miles from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), 100 miles from Don Mueang Airport (DMK) and 19 miles from U-Tapao International Airport (UTP). Most of the major domestic and international airlines provide flights to Pattaya Airports (PYX).
