Podgorica International Airport (TGD) is located 8 miles south of Podgorica, which is Montenegro’s capital and largest city. It is one of the country’s two airports. It is also called Golubovci Airport by the locals because of its close proximity (just 3 miles) to the town of Golubovci.

The airport serves around 400,000 passengers each year. It shares the runway with the nearby Podgorica Military Air Base. The airport used to be called Titograd, until it was changed to its present name in 1992.

Podgorica International Airport (TGD) handles both domestic and international flights within Europe, with the former mainly as charter flights. There are daily flights to Belgrade, as well as to various cities in Europe. The new passenger terminal has eight departure and two arrival gates, while the old terminal houses the VIP lounge, press conference hall, medical staff and airline offices.

Several airlines have direct flights to Podgorica International Airport (TGD). These are Adria Airways, Austrian Airlines, B&H Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Jat Airways, Malev Hungarian Airlines, Montenegro Airlines, Moskovia Airlines and S7 Airlines. Some of the flights come from Ljubljana, Vienna, Budapest, Moscow, Frankfurt, Naples, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Rome (Fiumicino) and Zagreb. Various charter flights are available during the summer season, which is during the months of July and August.
