A major hub for Air Caraibes, Pointe a Pitre International Airport (PTP) is the largest airport in Guadeloupe, handling a majority of the traffic from visitors on their way to an idyllic caribbean holiday. Located just a mile north of the town of Pointe-a-Pitre, it is an excellent jumping-off point for exploring the archipelago.

Due to an extremely long runway in comparison to other airports in the same region, Pointe a Pitre International Airport (PTP) can handle much larger aircraft, and thus sees most of the international arrivals and departures. As one of the busiest airports in all of the Lesser Antilles, it handles close to three million passengers each year, many of them during the bustling tourist season, when lines at the airport can get rather long and arriving well in advance of one’s departure time is highly recommended.

Air France has the most daily flights, with Air Canada offering connections to Montreal and Corsairfly, LIAT, and Air Antilles Express flying to a number of different locations each.
