 | | Flights at Portland International Airport | | | Volunteer Information Persons, called VIPs within the airport, are scattered throughout the terminal during peak season. These efficient helpers provide travelers with directions and information on the range of services at the facility. Service centers offer this service all year round, and they can be found in the main terminal and at Concourses A, C and D.
From the airport, it takes approximately 35 minutes to reach downtown Portland by car. Rental vehicles are available on the first floor of the Car Rental Garage opposite the airport’s arrivals and baggage collection area. The pickup point for taxis, hotel vans and shuttle buses is also found on this level in the central area of the terminal’s roadway.
The TriMet MAX light railway service also runs from the airport to downtown Portland, and to Beaverton. Tickets for this can be purchased from machines in the arrivals lobby and on the railway platform adjacent to Concourse A.
Passengers requiring assistance should contact their airline before arrival in Portland. Discounted disabled parking is available in most parking lots. Wheelchair assistance can be arranged between the gates and the parking lots. This is often done by using the designated telephones. | | | |  | | |
