Sometimes referred to as just Provo Airport (PLS), the airport is a very busy facility welcoming flights from around the Caribbean as well as North America and Europe. Airlines with direct flights to the airport include Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, Bahamas Air, and local carrier Air Turks and Caicos. Cities with regular direct flights to Providenciales International Airport (PLS) include Toronto, Nassau, Kingston, London, Atlanta, Miami and New York. Seasonal services are also available from Montreal, Ottawa, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth and Philadelphia.
Airport facilities include Wi-Fi Internet, some good souvenir and jewelry shopping—including duty-free, a café, plus a full-service bar and restaurant famed for their island burgers.
Getting from the airport for the short trip into Providenciales or to other parts of the island can be done via taxis or shuttle services. Most of the island’s major resorts have shuttle services, and both the vans and public taxis are waiting just outside the International Arrivals area. Taxis are coordinated by a taxi manager located in the area, and rates to the various island locations are fixed. Avis and Budget car rental agencies also have counters at Providenciales International Airport (PLS).
