There are two primary passenger terminals at the airport. Signage is clear and plentiful and information desks can be found in both terminals.
Despite its size and the amount of passenger traffic, the duty-free shopping options at the airport are surprisingly meager. The usual chocolates, perfume, alcohol, etc. are available but not a great deal more. There is a shopping mall located on the third floor of the international terminal. There are a number of f&b outlets.

Other amenities include a number of banks and currency exchange counters, plus ATMs, a post office, Wi-Fi Internet access, and nursing rooms.
Getting into Shanghai is easy. Metered taxis are readily available outside the arrivals hall, which take the inner ring road into Shanghai, a trip that usually takes around 40 minutes. Plus, the Maglev high-speed train station lies between the two terminals with an internal connection. The train transports visitors to Pudong in less than eight minutes. The train is fantastic, clean and easy to use; however, it should be noted that if you want to get into central Shanghai the taxi trip from the Pudong Station it will take up to another hour. Rental cars are also available but for driving in and around Shanghai, hiring a driver is advisable.

Jinjiang Inn Pudong Airport Hotel and the Ramada Updong Airport Shanghai Hotel are both located on site. Other choices are just a short drive away. The domestic terminal also houses a hotel where rooms can be rented by the hour.
