 | | Arriving at Puerto Vallarta Airport: Hola Mexico! | | | The airport is modern, bright and airy and its main level features a selection of retail outlets and restaurants. A bank, currency exchange counter, news agents and a post office can also be found here.
All arrivals come through the main level as do domestic departures. Duty-free shops are located on the upper international departures level. The upper level also houses a restaurant, and a bar.
Transport from the airport into Puerto Vallarta is most convenient by taxi. Both taxis and the combi-buses that operate from the airport charge their fares according to a zonal grid system. Puerto Vallarta and its surrounds are divided into four zones. There is a small counter located outside the terminal building’s main exit where fares are paid in exchange for a ticket at the beginning of the trip. A surcharge is also applied to airport pickups. Passengers needing to save money can walk the short distance to the highway and hail a cab, or catch a local bus which are very cheap.
There are no hotels located on the airport site but there are a number of properties within a radius of a few kilometers. | | | |  | | |
