There are two terminals linked by a moving walkway. International and domestic flights use both terminals. Information counters are located in both terminals – on the second floor in Terminal 1 and in the departures area in the second terminal. Terminal 2 also has computerized information screens. There are a number of public transport options into Rio. Three kinds of bus transfer are available: airport shuttle services connect the airport with downtown stopping at major hotels and beaches. The buses leave hourly. Air-conditioned frescao also head into town stopping at major hotels along the seafront. The city’s public bus services also service the airport.

Taxis are easy to find but visitors are best served by heading straight to the Rio de Janeiro State Tourism Authority desk and buying pre-paid taxi vouchers first. This will help avoid being ripped off. Major car rental companies also have counters in Terminal 1.For visitors who need to stay close to the airport, there are two properties located on site. Both are located in Terminal 1. There is also a 24-hour hotel reservation desk on level 3 of the terminal.

Other airport facilities include a number of banks and currency exchange facilities in Terminal 1, and an extensive range of restaurants, bars and shops throughout both terminals. Terminal 1 also has a pharmacy and hospital open 24 hours.
