Saint John Cheap Flights - YSJ

Located just eight miles from downtown Saint John, New Brunswick, is the efficient Saint John Airport (YSJ). Owned by Transport Canada, the facility opened back in 1952. There are four airlines now serving the airport: Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, Sunwing Airlines and WestJet. All of the flights are domestic, with the exception of Sunwing Airlines’ offering of seasonal flights to Cancun and La Romana. Due to recent growth in passengers, the airport is undergoing an expansion project, particularly to increase the size of its baggage claim area and departure lounge, resurface the runways, and modernize several other facilities.

Since Saint John Airport (YSJ) is small in size, there is little in the way of services and amenities. The airport does have one restaurant, which is open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Upon arrival, passengers can either take a taxi or rent a car to reach their final destination. There are no public buses going from the airport to central Saint John. Even so, a ride from the airport to downtown in a taxi should cost around $30. There are also several major car rental companies, including Avis, Budget, Hertz and National, conveniently located at Saint John Airport (YSJ).
