 | | Flying to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV): A Domestic Hub | | | The airport is located a little over 10km northwest of the city of Savannah. Trip time usually takes around 20 minutes and 45 minutes to Hilton Head Island.
Continual upgrades and expansions have been undertaken at the airport since the turn of the century and the airport is a comfortable and efficient facility. Amenities at the airport include a good selection of food & beverage outlets located on the terminal’s second floor. Most of the dining outlets open very early in the morning. Options include a number of the most popular international chain restaurants as well as seafood restaurants and a pub.
Other facilities include ATMs, a beauty salon, post office, vending machines and a number of shops. Free wi-fi Internet is also available throughout the airport.
Options for getting into Savannah and Hilton Head Island from the airport include the major car rental companies, and authorized taxis which are located outside the terminal on the lower level. Chatham Area Transit (CAT) buses also operate from the airport to destinations in the Savannah area. Limousine and shuttle bus pickups need to be prearranged.
