The airport has excellent transport links; there is an expressway with a tolled suspension bridge that links the airport to both Incheon and Seoul, and there is an inter-city bus that stops at most major hotels. The bus also links Incheon to the nearby domestic terminal, Gimpo. Taxis are readily available, although beware of taxi drivers attempting to overcharge when there is no alternative public transport available. To travel between the two airport terminals, a fast and efficient shuttle is available.

The airport facilities are excellent; Internet is available and mobile phones can be hired. For hungry passengers there are restaurants, serving a huge variety of cuisines, and many bars and fast-food joints, ice-cream parlors and even a supermarket. The duty free shopping is excellent, with more than 40 shops available and there are numerous banks and money exchanges. There are many disabled facilities, and wheelchairs are available to hire free of charge. Other facilities include a medical centre, a children’s play area and two business centers available to hire.

Incheon’s major airlines are Asiana Airlines and Korean Air but the airport is one of the busiest in the world and with over 70 major airlines flying in and out of Concourse A.

Seoul’s domestic airport, Gimpo, or SEL, is located within Sky City, a shopping area designed to provide travelers with all the facilities they need during their time at the airport. There are several city buses and airport limousine buses connecting Gimpo with Seoul City Centre. Gimpo Gonghang (Gimpo Airport) subway station on Line 5 also connects the airport with the city. Taxis are available, but beware the unscrupulous drivers trying to take advantage of weary passengers.

There are four concourses each with a variety of restaurants and snack bars, as well as many vending machines. Several Banks are available and passengers can while away some time in the airport’s many shops, while their youngsters are occupied in the children’s play area.

Gimpo caters for blind or disabled passengers, with regular flight information being broadcasted and excellent disabled restroom facilities.
