Sofia Cheap Flights - SOF

The airport features two terminals with free shuttle services ferrying passengers between the two.

Terminal 1 is the much older of the terminals, but has been extended and renovated a number of times and is now a modern, convenient facility. Terminal 1 services budget carriers and charter flights. The much newer and bigger Terminal 2 handles the majority of international traffic.

Both international and local car rental companies have a presence at Sofia Airport. Other public transport options include two bus routes that transfer passengers into the city center via different routes. Terminal 1 is serviced by bus #84, while bus #284 stops at Terminal 2. Services run from 5am until 11pm and run very frequently. For taxi transfers, the authorized taxi provider has a counter in the Arrivals Hall and passengers can organize a car there.

Both terminals have official information counters, plus banks, currency exchange counters and free wi-fi Internet access. A post office and ATMs can be found in the departures areas. Other facilities include kids’ play areas, baby changing rooms, and a first aid center.

Food options are adequate, with a small choice of restaurants and food court. There are also a number of bars. There is a duty-free shop as well as a number of duty-payable retail outlets.

Sofia Airport does not include a hotel on-site but transfers into the city are very quick.
