Tucson International Airport – Arriving in Arizona Sunshine

The airport services eight airlines and flights to Tucson originate in 15 destinations across the USA. Southwest Airlines is the airport’s main carrier. After some recent modifications, the airport is now divided into two concourses: A and B. International arrivals come through the main terminal in Concourse A. There are no direct overseas flights to Tucson, but US Customs and Immigration have offices on-site so the airport retains its international designation.

Public transport into Tucson includes local bus routes #6 and #11 which run directly from the airport on an hourly basis. Taxis can be found on the main road in front of the terminal’s ground floor level. Three taxi companies operate at the airport. Hotel shuttles, shared-ride vans and other transport are also located in this area. Share-ride vans are standing by for each incoming flight so there is no necessity to book ahead. There is a reservation desk in the center of the baggage pick up area.

Most of the food & beverage outlets are located on the airport’s third floor. However, there are some coffee shops located around the baggage pick-up area and near the ticketing counters. There is a small selection of retail outlets. Other facilities are what would be expected in a mid-sized airport.

Seven rental car companies operate at Tucson International Airport and can be found in the rental car garage adjacent to the main terminal.

There are no hotels located on the airport site.
