 | | Fly into Italy at Venice Airport – gateway to romance | | | The airport has just the one terminal with arrivals on the ground floor and departures on the first floor. Domestic and international flights service the airport. International flights to Venice originate from all over Europe as well as flights from Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York and Dubai.
Tourist and airport information desks are located in the Arrivals Hall. Other amenities include currency exchange booths, ATMs, a prayer room, a nursery, a post office and wi-fi Internet access. There are some very good dining and drinking outlets at Venice Airport. Most of the airport’s retail outlets are found in the departures area.
There are a number of direct public transport connections available. Regular buses connect Venice Airport with the nearby Venice-Mestre railway station, plus there are direct bus connections to Venice-Piazzale Roma bus station and water taxis connect directly to Piazza San Marco. Free shuttle services ferry passengers between the terminal and the docks.
Taxis are located outside the terminal. Cars can be shared and services to Venice and Padua are available. A number of companies offer car rental services at the airport and can be found in the Arrivals Hall.
