Finding the Hotels and Districts of Warsaw, Poland

Warsaw is a historical city dating back nearly 800 years. It has been the capital of Poland for more than half that time. Visitors will find a rapidly modernizing city, but you should begin your exploration of Warsaw in the Old Town section located in the Centrum or central area. Budget accommodations in this part of the city consist mostly of hostels, but there are mid-range hotels for those who want to stay here. You can stay at the MDM on Konstytucji or the Metropol which is very near the Palace of Culture and Science on Marszalkowska. The Novotel hotel is also just a few minutes walk. If you want more luxury while staying here, you can check in at the Polonia Palace or the Warsaw Marriott. Both of these hotels are located on either side of the Culture Palace.

After walking around the Old Town section, you can head into the Wola district and visit the Warsaw Rising Museum. This is an important part of the history of this city and should not be missed. There are not a lot of places to stay here, but there is a Westin hotel near the Warszawa Centralna train station. If you walk a little further, you can find a Hilton here also. You can take a bus from the Centralna train station to Mokotow and do some shopping at the Galeria Mokotow. You can stay near here for a reasonable price at the Reytan hotel on Rejtana.
