The Baltimore Washington International Airport is south of Baltimore. To reach the airport travel north along the I-95 toward Baltimore to I-195. Exit 47 off I-95 and take I-195 East in the direction of BWI Airport. Signs will direct the rest of your journey to the terminal. This airport tends to have more competitive prices and is a good option for budget flights. To reach Washington, DC by train, use the MARC and Amtrak stations nearby. Keep in mind that there are high level security measures at BWI airport, so leave plenty of time to accommodate delays spent in queues.

Ronald Regan Washington National Airport (otherwise known simply as National Airport) is 7km from Washington, DC and is accessible by Metro. If you are driving take the I-395 South, then the GW Parkway South onto the airport exit. Hourly and daily car parking is available in parks A, B and C, all of which are connected to terminals. There is no charge for the first 20 minutes of parking. Long-term parking is also available and a shuttle bus is available to transfer travelers to the terminals. Similarly a free shuttle regularly runs between the terminals. Visitors should note that the airport is particularly difficult to get go during rush hour, especially from Virginia and Maryland. Given the limited runway sizes the airport mostly caters to smaller aircrafts, the largest being a 757, so only domestic flights and flights to Canada and the Caribbean are offered from National airport. Paid Wi-Fi Internet access is available at the airport. Car hire from various well known companies, including Thrifty, Hertz and Alamo are represented at the airport.

Dulles International Airport is located in Chantilly, Virginia about a 40 minute drive (42km) from Washington, DC in non-rush hour traffic. The airport is easily accessible from the Dulles Airport Access Road from the I-495. Various shuttles and taxis are available to transport visitors around the area. “People Movers”, or shuttle services, are used to transport passengers from the terminal to the gates. Be aware that busy peak-hour traffic conditions and the process of moving from terminals to the gate may take extra time, so be sure to allow for delays as you plan your journey. Hourly parking is available an easy walk from the terminal. Two Garages are linked with the terminal for daily parks and are serviced by a shuttle bus. Similarly long term parking is also serviced by a free shuttle. Car hire is also readily available from companies such as Avis, Dollar and National and may be contacted on courtesy phones in the main terminal. Shuttle buses leave from outside the terminal building to transport passengers to their hire car. Taxis and limousines are also available to transport passengers to Washington, DC as are various bus services (eg Metrobus, Greyhound, SuperShuttle).
