The Yakima Airport (YKM) is a smallish facility owned by Yakima City and Yakima County and is conveniently located just three miles from the city of Yakima in Washington State, U.S.A. The main usage of the Yakima Airport (YKM) is for general aviation but Horizon Airlines operates four daily flights from Seattle and is now amalgamated with Alaskan Air.
The airport terminal is compact but clean and tidy. Baggage collection is non-automated and passengers collect their luggage from a raised platform. The Yakima Airport (YKM) does not have any sit down restaurants but if you are thirsty or in need of a snack there are vending machines near the baggage collection area. Both Hertz and Budget car rentals are located in the terminal for those requiring car hire.
