Zanzibar Cheap Flights - ZNZ

The Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) is located just under four miles from Stone Town on the island Unguja which is part of the archipelago of Zanzibar. The airport caters for over 500,000 passengers a year and is serviced with daily flights from most East African major airports. South African Airlines has flights from Johannesburg twice a week and Air Uganda flies direct twice weekly. Being a small airport the Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) does not have some of the facilities found at most international airports. There is no moneychanger (you will need to change money at a bank in the city), there are no ATMs and there is limited shopping and places to eat although there is a cafeteria serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Travel from the airport is by taxi, shuttle service or by car rental, which you can obtain at the airport. As Zanzibar is a wonderful place for a holiday, the shortcomings of the Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) will not be a problem for most travelers. Accommodation on the island is largely resort-style and is priced accordingly but in the old section of the city there are some budget hostels. During certain periods of the year, many airlines offer discount flights to Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ).
